Meet Dr. Knee

Dr. Knee is a subject matter expert on the topics of clinical nutrition, dietary supplements, treatment adherence, behavioral change, and patient-centered care.

He has presented on numerous topics for organizations such as the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), the Canadian Interdisciplinary Network for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research (INCAM), the Natural Health Product Research Society (NHPRS), Natural Medicine Journal, and Integrative Practitioner.

Dr. Christopher Knee ND, MSc

Dr. Knee is a naturopathic doctor and clinical researcher from Ottawa, Canada.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Knee is the head of Clinical Research and Decision Support for Fullscript’s Medical Advisory Team, where he is currently leading outcomes-based research studies and exploring innovative decision support tools for Fullscript’s whole person care platform through the use of machine learning and AI.

He has extensive industry and advisory experience, having worked with organizations including The Ottawa Hospital, Ottawa Police Service, University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Nordion, and Pfizer.

He is passionate about evidence-informed practice, patient education, health services research, and advancing our understanding of natural medicines.

He has been involved with a number of professional volunteer activities, including being a scientific advisory board member for the Branch Out Neurological Foundation (Calgary, AB), Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the INCAM Naturopathy Special Interest Group.

Additionally, he has served as a peer-reviewer for journals such as Integrated Health Practitioner (IHP), the OAND Pulse, CAND Vital Link, and most recently, the Canadian Journal of Naturopathic Medicine.

Educational background

Dr. Knee completed Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the University of Guelph, specializing in Human Kinetics, Biomedical, and Nutritional Sciences, and completed naturopathic training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. He has completed continuing education in numerous areas such as IFM’s Advanced Practice Modules, functional lab testing, and business foundations.
